OLA Bylaws: MSP Senthikumar to OL's on Jan 8, 2011

On Jan 8, 2011, OLA President MSP Senthikumar sent out this email to all OLA Office-bearers, some LSL Board Members, and also to the widest readership of the OL community presenting to them the Proposed Draft document for the OLA Bylaws. [No OLA Office Bearer can claim to be blind-sided by this proposed draft of the OLA Bylaws.]

Dear OLs,

Just before Christmas and the New Year, I had requested comments on
changes needed to the OLA By-Laws. I am happy to say that a lot of work has
now been done, and we have a new draft of the By-Laws ready for discussion.
I am attaching the same.

I must thank Anil Madan (1963), Anusha Ramanathan (2005), Joseph Thomas (1957), Mathew Anthony (1965) and Yohaan John (1991) , who have helped me to frame this draft.

It has also been briefly perused by Joseph (Mohan) Vellapally. I now open it to the OL community for review and comments.
I am requesting Anusha Ramanathan to steer the process of collecting comments and opinions. I request her to set up the process for this,
so please bear with your comments until she specifies how you should comment.
She will also prepare the final draft for us after taking all your comments into consideration.

I hope we can finalise the text by 15th February 2011, and have this voted in during the OLA AGM in May 2011.
